Transform your team’s level of performance

By using a Flexible Minds development programme, you will be able to transform the level of output and performance of your business - at an individual, team or organisational level.   Our programmes are designed to completely engage and change the way participants think and behave.  The resulting improvements in performance are rapid and, what’s more, long-lasting.

The five stages of a Flexible Minds programme

Stage 1 – This involves specifying ‘key performance targets’ (KPTs) to be worked on and improved e.g. increase in sales income.  Key behaviour drivers that lead to the desired targets are then identified.

Stage 2 – Assessment of client’s current situation and gathering base-line information.  This includes meeting and talking with relevant staff and evaluating their current capabilities and weaknesses in terms of performance behaviours and psychological flexibility.   A tailored development programme is then drawn up with the client.

Stage 3 – This consists of a couple of face-to-face workshops over a 2-week period, providing practical PF training geared around behaviours relevant to the KPTs.  Each participant’s internal barriers to performance are addressed through the workshop process.

Stage 4 – Review with the participants’  team or senior manager the outcomes from the workshops and also discussing what further ‘surrounding’ barriers to improved performance might exist, e.g. working environment, design of individual jobs, management style.

Stage 5 – Final workshop to check, reinforce and consolidate what individuals have learnt, applied and experienced in their jobs since the previous sessions.  To build on and sustain the gains from the programme, managers can be guided on appropriate issues around leadership and, if wanted, further coaching can be arranged.

Who are the programmes aimed at?

Flexible Minds is designed to stimulate performance improvement at an individual level within a group context.   This means that delegates are members of a specific team, department, or unit, who come together, learn as a group, and go on to improve both their individual and collective performance.

Participants can be from any level or area of your company.  From your top executive team (Board members, directors, senior managers etc )  to specific front-line teams (sales executives, credit control staff, customer service clerks, telephone sales staff, data entry teams etc).

The ideal group size for a programme is 8 to 12 individuals.

What is the schedule of the workshops?

The first workshop lasts 3 hours and, after getting delegates to reflect about how they currently perform their jobs, quickly introduces the psychological principles and practical tools involved with Flexible Minds. Delegates are equipped to apply what they have learned straightaway in their jobs, which allows an immediate improvement in their performance.

The second workshop is held two weeks later and includes the vital opportunity for individuals to feedback and collectively review their early experiences of applying the Flexible Minds techniques. They receive further coaching, reinforcement and guidance to hone their skills.

Three months later the third and final workshop is held, which serves as a further occasion to check and consolidate what individuals have learnt and experienced from the programme.

What is the style and format of the workshops?

Sessions are very participative with lots of practical exercises and joint discussion. The style is open, informal and relaxed to maximize effective learning.

Do participants receive any reference materials do participants receive?

Participants are provided with a full set of written notes for later reference and guidance.

Where are workshops held?

Workshops are normally conducted onsite at a suitable client location:  this tends to involve less disruption, travelling time and costs on the part of client personnel. Should an offsite location be preferred, we are happy, of course, to adapt. Sessions are normally held during weekday working hours but evening or weekend arrangements can be made, if desired.

Who are the workshop tutors?

Only Flexible Minds’ own qualified tutors are permitted to conduct our workshops.  All our team are leading experts in this field of performance development and uniquely combine a background in both business and scientific clinical work.

What are the overall benefits of the programme?

There are two levels of benefit:  to individuals and to the team (or organisation) as a whole.   Many different kinds of benefit can follow, depending, naturally, on who the delegates are and the specific performance goals being addressed.  Some frequent examples are:

         Individual benefits:

better skills, improved output, higher confidence, less stress, better quality
work, higher job satisfaction, improved pay/bonus possibly, faster project
completion

         Team / business benefits:

Higher output, fewer production errors, better income, reduced cost, higher
productivity. Improved net profit, lower staff absenteeism, improved
competitive position, improved customer satisfaction
