Mark Webster

Flexible Minds was founded by Mark Webster (pictured opposite), who is the company’s Principal Consultant and Chief Executive .  He is a leading expert in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

After an initial career in industry working in sales and sales management, particularly in the financial services sector, Mark moved into clinical work in the early 1990s.  He trained in addiction counselling and then psychotherapy and worked in the NHS up to 2006.

Registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy, Mark is now a prominent  member of the British Association of Behaviour & Cognitive Psychotherapy, being the founding chairman of its ACT special interest branch.

As well as leading Flexible Minds, Mark is a founding director of a leading clinical practice in the South of England that specialises in using the ACT approach.

Today, Mark is one of the world’s leading experts in the application of ACT in groups and is a frequent speaker at conferences nationally and internationally.

Kevin Polk

Kevin is Senior Consultant with Flexible Minds (pictured opposite).

With a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology and a Masters degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Kevin is also a leading world expert in ACT.  With some 20 years’ experience in clinical work – based mainly in north America - he has an international reputation for providing ACT-based training and consultancy and is a noted speaker at conferences on the subject.

Flexible Minds has an extended network of specialist trainers and consultants across the UK, Europe and internationally.  Most are either chartered psychotherapists or occupational psychologists and all are professionally educated in the field of ACT.
